1. Who We Are

Quickshop is a product operated by Dysruptive Technologies LLC. References to "Quickshop," "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to Dysruptive Technologies LLC and the Quickshop platform.

2. What Quickshop Does

Quickshop provides African businesses with WhatsApp-powered commerce tools, including a dedicated WhatsApp Business API phone number, automated order management, AI-powered customer messaging, and a business management dashboard. We operate as a solution provider on the Meta WhatsApp Business Platform.

3. Data We Collect

3.1 Business Account Data

When a business registers on Quickshop, we collect:

  • Business name, email address, and password (hashed)
  • Country and preferred currency
  • Business logo (optional)
  • Paystack API keys (if payment integration is enabled)

3.2 WhatsApp / Meta Platform Data

Through our integration with the Meta WhatsApp Business Platform, we receive and process the following data on behalf of our business clients:

  • Incoming messages sent by end-users (customers) to the business's WhatsApp Business number
  • Customer phone numbers and display names (as provided by Meta's API)
  • Message timestamps and delivery statuses
  • WhatsApp message IDs for deduplication and delivery tracking

This data is received via Meta's webhook system and is used solely to operate the Quickshop service — enabling businesses to receive customer messages, process orders, and send automated responses through WhatsApp. We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to delivering the Quickshop service.

3.3 Order and Product Data

We store product catalogues, order records, and customer interaction histories as entered by or generated for each business client. This data belongs to the business and is retained to provide order tracking, reporting, and conversation history features.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data exclusively to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Quickshop platform
  • Route WhatsApp messages between customers and businesses
  • Automate order-taking and customer notifications via WhatsApp
  • Generate order records and business analytics within the dashboard
  • Process payments through Paystack on behalf of the business
  • Send push notifications to business owners about new orders or messages
  • Respond to support requests and account inquiries

We do not use WhatsApp Platform Data for advertising, marketing to end-users, or any secondary purpose beyond delivering the service described above.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data or your customers' data with any third party except as strictly necessary to operate the service:

  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — as the operator of the WhatsApp Business Platform, Meta processes messages in transit. Their data practices are governed by the WhatsApp Business Data Processing Terms.
  • Paystack — payment processing data is shared with Paystack solely to facilitate order payment. Their privacy policy governs that data.
  • Infrastructure providers — we use cloud hosting and database services to run the platform. These providers act as data processors under appropriate data processing agreements and do not use your data for their own purposes.

We may disclose data if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority.

6. Data Retention

We retain data as follows:

  • Business account data — retained for the lifetime of the account and deleted within 30 days of account closure upon request.
  • WhatsApp conversation data — message content and customer contact details are retained for 12 months from the date of the conversation to support order history and dispute resolution. After 12 months, message content is deleted. Customer phone numbers associated with orders are retained for as long as the order record exists.
  • Order data — retained for a minimum of 24 months for business accounting and compliance purposes.

7. Data Deletion

Business clients may request deletion of their account and associated data at any time by emailing joel@dysruptivetech.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

End-users (customers who message a business through WhatsApp) may request deletion of their conversation history and contact data by contacting the business directly, or by emailing us at the address above. We will action such requests within 30 days.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), hashed password storage, JWT-based authentication, and access controls scoped to individual business accounts. No data belonging to one business is accessible to another.

9. Children's Privacy

Quickshop is a business tool and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Quickshop platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
